TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions govern participation in the Star Sports Predictor suite of free-to-play prediction games (each a “Promotion” and together the “Promotions”), including without limitation the Star Sports Build-A-Bet Predictor and the Star Sports Lucky 31 Predictor.

Part A sets out the general terms that apply to every Promotion. Part B sets out the game-specific rules for each individual Promotion. By entering any Promotion, players accept these Terms & Conditions in full.

PART A - GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

The following terms apply to all Star Sports Predictor Promotions.

1. Introduction

• Each Star Sports Predictor game (the “Promotion”) is a free-to-play prediction game operated by Star Sports.
• The specific format, fixtures or races, points system, tiebreaker and prizes for each game are set out in Part B of these Terms.
• By entering, players accept these Terms & Conditions.
• Eligibility to participate is at the sole discretion of Star Sports.

2. Eligibility

The Promotions are open to:

• UK & ROI residents.
• Active and existing customers with registered Star Sports accounts, aged 18 or over.

3. Exclusions

• Duplicate, linked, or fraudulent accounts.
• Accounts restricted from Star Sports promotions.
• Self-excluded customers, or customers enrolled in nationwide gambling-prevention schemes.
• Customers outside the UK & ROI.

4. How to Enter

• Each Promotion is free to play.
• Entries must be submitted before the scheduled start of the relevant event(s) for that round, as set out in the game-specific terms in Part B.
• Players may change or edit their predictions as many times as they like until entries close.
• The final prediction submitted before entries close will be the official entry.
• Only one entry per customer is permitted per round.

5. Prizes - General

• The specific prize(s) for each Promotion are set out in Part B.
• Prizes are credited by midday the day after the round concludes, unless otherwise stated.
• Star Sports may contact winners for verification if required.
• There is no cash alternative for any prize.

6. Prize Substitution

If necessary (e.g. technical issues), Star Sports may substitute the prize with an equivalent alternative of equal or greater value.

7. Free Bet - General T&Cs

• Star Sports may offer you a free promotional bet. Please refer to the promotion details for the qualification criteria.
• Free Bets may not be used in conjunction with any other current promotion.
• In the event of a customer opening more than one account to claim multiple offers we reserve the right to suspend/close duplicate accounts and void any bets placed.
• Usual Star Sports Betting Rules and Terms and Conditions apply, these can be viewed here.
• Star Sports reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any Free Bet promotion at any point.
• Free Bet stakes are not returned with winnings.
• Free Bet awards cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Free Bet awards can be used online or via telephone.
• The Free Bet must be used within the time frame specified on the promotion details and may not be either part used or carried forward.

8. Free Bet Rules

All Free Bets awarded under any Star Sports Predictor Promotion are subject to the following conditions:

• The Free Bet is valid for 7 days from crediting.
• Can be used on eligible Online Star Sports markets only.
• May be used in one bet or split into multiple bets.
• Returns are profit only and do not include the stake.
• Cannot be cashed out.
• Cannot be withdrawn as cash.
• Must be placed separately from real-cash bets.
• Unused Free Bets after expiry will be removed.

9. Results, Scoring & Leaderboards

• Results and points are calculated within 24 hours of the conclusion of the round.
• Leaderboards will display ranking and points earned.
• Historical rounds can be viewed in-game.
• All Star Sports results and scoring decisions are final.

10. Fair Play & Restrictions

Star Sports reserves the right to void entries, withhold prizes, or close accounts where:

• Duplicate accounts are used.
• Automated or syndicated entries occur.
• Collusion or manipulation is suspected.
• A breach of these Terms occurs.

Any technical faults, system errors, or failed entries are not the responsibility of Star Sports.

11. Site Conduct

You agree not to use any Username, Team Name, Profile Name, or other publicly visible content that contains language that is obscene, profane, vulgar, sexually explicit, hateful, or promotes illegal activity. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to enforce these standards. Violations of this policy will result in one or more of the following actions:

• Immediate change of the offending content to a generic name.
• Temporary or permanent suspension of your account without notice.
• Termination (Ban) of your Star Sports Predictor account, resulting in the forfeiture of all associated points.

12. Marketing Communications

If you select the marketing communications opt-in, you consent to receiving emails from Star Sports Predictor Free-To-Play regarding upcoming games, results, and other related games. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us at cs@starsportsbet.co.uk.

13. General Terms

• Star Sports may suspend, amend, or cancel any Promotion at any time.
• Customers who have already qualified will retain any prizes earned prior to cancellation.
• Participation is governed by the Star Sports General Terms & Conditions.
• Star Sports Privacy Policy can be viewed here.
• Star Sports is the promoter of each Promotion.
• Each Promotion is intended for entertainment purposes; no purchase is required.

14. Data Processing

Star Sports works with Hunch (“Hunch Sports Ltd”, Company number 12694316) to operate free-to-play prediction games including the Star Sports Predictor games covered by these Terms. Hunch processes certain personal data strictly on behalf of Star Sports and only in accordance with our written instructions, for the sole purpose of providing the technical platform and services required for the game. Hunch is not permitted to use customer data for its own purposes and will not disclose such data to any third party unless required to do so by law.

Hunch is contractually required to implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard customer data against unauthorised access, accidental loss, destruction or damage, and to ensure that its personnel are reliable and bound by confidentiality obligations. Hunch will not transfer any personal data outside of the UK or EEA without Star Sports’ prior written consent, and any such transfer must rely on an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

Hunch may access anonymised and aggregated gameplay data to support platform performance, analytics, troubleshooting and improvement of the game infrastructure. This information does not identify individual customers and remains under the control of Star Sports at all times.

PART B - GAME-SPECIFIC TERMS

The following game-specific terms apply in addition to the General Terms in Part A. In the event of any conflict between Part A and Part B, the game-specific terms in Part B shall prevail in respect of that Promotion.

B1. Star Sports Build-A-Bet Predictor

B1.1 Introduction

• The Star Sports Build-A-Bet Predictor is a free-to-play game based on one selected football fixture each round.
• Participants must predict outcomes across six Build-A-Bet markets for a chance to win a £100 Free Bet.

B1.2 How to Enter

• Entries must be submitted before the scheduled kick-off of the selected fixture.
• Players may change or edit their predictions as many times as they like until kick-off.
• The final prediction submitted before kick-off will be the official entry.
• Only one entry per customer is permitted per weekly round.

B1.3 Prediction Requirements

• Each round includes one selected fixture.
• Players must submit predictions across the following six Build-A-Bet markets:

i. Correct Score

• Predict the exact final score of the match (e.g. 2-1, 1-0, 3-2).
• Settled on the 90 minutes result plus injury time only. Extra time and penalties do not count.

ii. Half-time Correct Score

• Predict the exact score of the match at half-time (e.g. 0-1, 1-1, 2-0).
• Settled on the score at the half-time whistle, including any first-half injury time.

iii. Player to Receive a Card

• Select one player you predict will receive a yellow or red card at any time during the match.
• Bookings are counted as follows:
  • Yellow card = 1 card
  • Red card = 1 card
  • Yellow + yellow leading to red = 3 cards
• Not counted:
  • Cards given to players who take no part in the match
  • Cards shown to players who take part in the match but receive a card while seated on the bench
  • Cards given to management or staff
  • Cards received after the half-time or full-time whistle
• Your player selection is final regardless of whether the player starts, enters as a substitute, or does not play at all. The chosen player remains the official Player to Receive a Card pick.

iv. Exact Number of Cards

• Predict the exact total number of cards (yellow and red combined) shown in the match.
• Cards are counted using the same rules as the Player to Receive a Card market above (Yellow = 1, Red = 1, Yellow + Yellow leading to Red = 3; cards to non-participating players, bench-seated players, management/staff, and cards after the full-time whistle do not count).

v. First Goalscorer

• Select one player you predict will score the first goal of the match.
• Own goals do not count towards this market. If the first goal of the match is an own goal, the next goal scored by a non-own-goal scorer will be deemed the first goalscorer.
• Your player selection is final regardless of whether the player starts, enters as a substitute, or does not play at all. The chosen player remains the official First Goalscorer pick.

vi. Last Goalscorer

• Select one player you predict will score the last goal of the match.
• Own goals do not count towards this market. If the last goal of the match is an own goal, the most recent goal prior scored by a non-own-goal scorer will be deemed the last goalscorer.
• Your player selection is final regardless of whether the player starts, enters as a substitute, or does not play at all. The chosen player remains the official Last Goalscorer pick.

• All outcomes are settled on 90 minutes result plus injury time only.
• Extra time and penalties do not count (see also the cup-game rule at B1.8 below).

B1.4 Points System

5 points are awarded for each correct prediction across the six markets:

• Correct Score - 5 points
• Half-time Correct Score - 5 points
• Player to Receive a Card - 5 points
• Exact Number of Cards - 5 points
• First Goalscorer - 5 points
• Last Goalscorer - 5 points

The maximum score per round is 30 points. The customer/player with the highest total points at the end of 90 minutes plus injury time only is the winner. If multiple players finish on the same points total, the tiebreaker is used.

B1.5 Tiebreaker

Players must also answer the tiebreaker question: “What will be the total number of corners in the match (at the end of 90 minutes plus injury time)?”

The player with the closest answer wins. If still tied, Star Sports may:

• Award the prize to the earliest correct entry, or
• Share the prize at its discretion.

B1.6 Prizes

Main Prize

• The weekly winner will receive a £100 Free Bet.
• The prize is credited by midday the following day.
• Star Sports may contact winners for verification if required.

Consolation Reward

All players who entered that fixture will receive a £2 Free Bet if either of the following occurs (at the end of 90 minutes plus injury time):

• The match ends 0–0; or
• No cards (yellow or red) are shown in the match, counted using the rules set out in market iii. Player to Receive a Card.

Where both conditions are met, players still receive a single £2 Free Bet (not two £2 Free Bets).

B1.7 Postponed, Abandoned, or Voided Fixtures

If the match is postponed before kick-off, Star Sports may:

• Void the round and cancel entries.
• Carry entries over to the rearranged match.
• Select a new fixture.

If the match is abandoned after kick-off:

• If an official result is confirmed within 24 hours, this result will stand.
• Otherwise, Star Sports may void the round.

B1.8 Cup Games

Where the selected fixture is a cup match (or any other competition format that may proceed to extra time and/or a penalty shoot-out), all markets in this Promotion will be settled on the result at the end of normal time (90 minutes plus injury time) only. Any goals, cards, or other events occurring in extra time or a penalty shoot-out will not be counted for the purposes of this Promotion, including:

• Correct Score and Half-time Correct Score (final score is the 90-minute score; half-time refers to the half-time whistle of normal time).
• First Goalscorer and Last Goalscorer (goals scored in extra time or penalty shoot-outs do not count).
• Player to Receive a Card and Exact Number of Cards (cards shown in extra time or after the final whistle of normal time do not count).

B2. Star Sports Lucky 31 Predictor

B2.1 Introduction

• The Star Sports Lucky 31 Predictor is a free-to-play game based on a Lucky 31 bet type (5 Selections - 5 Singles, 10 Doubles, 10 Trebles, 5 Four-Folds and 1 Five-Fold accumulator) across five horse racing events.
• The winner is determined by the total points returned from a Lucky 31 bet type to a mythical 1 point stake.

B2.2 Round Definition

• A “Round” is the set of five races selected by Star Sports for that day’s Promotion, each from a British or Irish horse racing meeting.
• The five races will be loaded into the game prior to the start of the first race in that Round.
• A Round is deemed complete once the official result has been declared for all five races.
• If a race is abandoned, voided, or otherwise fails to produce an official result, Star Sports reserves the right to substitute an alternative race or to void and re-run that Round at its discretion.

B2.3 How to Enter

• Entries must be submitted before the scheduled start time of the first nominated race in that Round.
• Players may change or edit their predictions as many times as they like until the first race starts.
• The final prediction submitted before the first race starts will be the official entry.
• Only one entry per customer is permitted per Round.

B2.4 Prediction Requirements

• Players must submit a prediction for the winner of each of the five races selected for each Round.
• All outcomes are settled on the official result of each race.
• Outcomes, race results and combined distances will be verified by https://www.racingpost.com/.

B2.5 Non-Runners and Withdrawals

• If a non-runner is declared before the first race in the Round begins, players may substitute their selection for that race.
• If a non-runner is declared after the first race in the Round has started, no changes can be made and the affected selections will score 0 points.

B2.6 Points System

A Lucky 31 bet type consists of 31 predictions across 5 race selections:

• 5 singles
• 10 doubles
• 10 trebles
• 5 four-fold accumulators
• 1 five-fold accumulator
• A minimum of 1 selection must be correct to generate a return.
• Each leg of your Lucky 31 carries a mythical 1 point stake.
• Points are returned based on the Starting Price (SP) of each correct selection.
• Your overall score is the combined return across all winning legs of your Lucky 31.

Example - a winning double:

If two of your selections win at 5/1 and 4/1, a 1 point stake on a correct double of 5/1 and 4/1 returns 30 points.

Your total score is the sum of all winning singles, doubles, trebles, four-folds and the five-fold combined. The customer/player with the highest total points after all five races is the winner. If multiple players finish on the same points total, the tiebreaker is used.

B2.7 Tiebreaker

Players must also answer the tiebreaker question: “What will be the combined winning lengths across the five selected races?”

The player with the closest answer wins. Where two players are equally close, the higher guess wins; .5 is always rounded up. For example, if the correct answer is 2.5 and two players guess 2 and 3, the player who guessed 3 wins.

How Winning Lengths Are Calculated

Each race result carries an official winning distance as measured and published by the Racing Post. These distances are converted to a numerical length value as follows:

Example

Suppose the five selected races produce the following official winning distances:

The correct tiebreaker answer would be 3.9 lengths. The player whose guess is closest to 3.9 - whether above or below - wins the tiebreaker. If still tied, Star Sports may:

• Award the prize to the earliest correct entry, or
• Share the prize at its discretion.

B2.8 Prizes

Main Prize

• The daily winner will receive a £250 Free Bet.
• The prize is credited by midday the following day.
• Star Sports may contact winners for verification if required.

Consolation Reward Prize

If you tie the competition but lose on the Tiebreaker question, you will receive a £25 Free Bet.

There is no cash alternative for the main prize or consolation prize. All competition stakes and stake returns are mythical and there are no cash alternatives.

B2.9 Abandoned, Postponed, or Voided Races

If a race is postponed or cancelled before it starts, Star Sports may:

• Void the round and cancel entries.
• Select a replacement race.

If a race is abandoned after it has started:

• If an official result is confirmed within 24 hours, this result will stand.
• Otherwise, Star Sports may void the round.
